 Maintenance Guidelines

Equipment Daily Handling

Proper daily maintaince will assist in the keeping waffle irons in optimum working condition.

Instructions:

1.Each morning, preheat Beck's Waffle Iron for 20 minutes. Lightly spray grid with Beck's Grid Conditioner(if used all day spray at the beginning of each 8 hour shift).

2. At the end of each shift, place 2 paper towls on the lower grid. Pou 1-1/2 water over towels. Cose grids and rotate handles. Steam for 1 cycle. Repeat if necessary. (Keep water away from electric cord.)

3. Between cooking cycles, remove batter only with heat resistant non-metallic fork or bamboo stick. CAUTION: Other tools will ruin the coated grid surface. A very good rule is: IF will scratch your thumbnail, DO NOT use it on the iron.

Equipment can be damaged in a variety of ways. Many common practices, as experienced in the past, are unacceptable. To avoid damage:

1. DO NOT allow any materials other than Beck's Malty Maple Waffles of Oklahoma batter or Beck's Waffle Grid Conditioner to be put onto the grids.

2. DO NOT "slam" grids down on a spatula or a fork if sticking occurs.

3. DO NOT greas the grids.

4. DO NOT lose or discard any iron components if they become detached.

5. DO NOT leave waffle or batter in grids if a failure occurs. Clean it out.

6. DO NOT drop or "hit" iron.

7. DO NOT leave machine outdoors at any time.

8. DO NOT immerse machine in WATER at any time.

Troubleshooting

Heating Problems:

1. Is Becks waffle baker plugger in?

2. Has circuit bracker "tripped"?

4. Have you allowed approximately 20 minutes at the beginning of every morning shift to allow the waffle baker to properly preheat?

1. Prior to the beginning of each daily shift operation, the grids should be treated with Becks Waffle Grid Conditioner. Additional applications may be needed on busy shifts.

2.Are both grids hot?

3. Are you using only Backs Malty Maple Waffle Mix?

4. NEVER use any oil products or vegeable spray on grids
